Celebrity Head Replicas: The Creepiest Thing Ever?

Hey kids! The latest craze from Hong Kong is sweeping the world. And this time it's not dodgy consumer electronics. It's celebrity head replicas!

Just think of the possibilities: Now you too can have an exact copy of Daniel Craig's head sitting on your mantlepiece. You could model your baseball cap collection on Morgan Freeman. You could even throw Matt Damon's head out the window.

And if that doesn't wet your appetite, most of the female celebrities are modelled with a topless upper body. Nothing wierd about that. You can see the whole range here.

Oh and if that wasn't creepy enough for you, they're also selling a Barack Obama replica. That in itself might not be that creepy, but take a look at one of the photos they've got in the item description...

In Search of the Easy Rider Sunglasses

The glasses worn by Peter Fonda, aka Captain America, in Easy Rider. If you've got the money, the Ray Ban Olympia 3119 are the way to go. As you can see in the picture they look pretty close to what Fonda was wearing. The only obvious difference is the shade of the lenses. Fonda's were nearly transparent, and I'm not sure if those lenses are still available. But the darker lenses look pretty damn cool.

The Olympia's retail for around US$130. But you will be able to find some for a better price on Ebay. Check here to see what's going on Ebay. But remember to get one with gold frames, if you're after an authentic replica from Easy Rider.

Now all you need is that Harley Davidson...

Air McFly Sneakers: Economic Crisis Solved

Do you have a spare $1,350.00, but no idea how to spend it? Have you considered investing it in a pair of Nike Air McFly Huperdunk sneakers, as inspired by those featured in the 80's classic Back to the Future: Part II?

If you answered yes to either of the above questions, read on:
Back in July Nike launched a limited release of the shoes. They were priced at $400 a pair. They quickly sold out. Now there's one pair on Ebay with an asking price of US$1,350.

I'm no math genius, but I'm pretty sure that's an increase of 237.5% in just six months. Now if they continue to increase in value at that rate, in ten years time, you'll have a pair of sneakers worth $2,517,799,976.85.

And in these troublesome economic times, who couldn't do with an extra two and half billion? So here's the link to the Ebay auction. As far as I can tell, it's a foolproof investment. Good luck!

And if there are any former investment bankers out there, feel free to correct me on my math.
